Sunroom's purpose is to help women and non-binary creators express themselves and make money. Bullying, harassment and other similar types of anti-social behavior discourage women from expressing themselves, and deter women from directly monetizing themselves. Our rules are to ensure our creators can express themselves freely and safely. These guidelines also exist to establish clear bounds around what is and isn’t allowed to be posted on Sunroom. Our unique stance on content allows a group of women and non-binary creators who’ve never been able to confidently monetize themselves, to do so for the first time. For this reason, we take the enforcement of these guidelines very seriously.

The TL/DR
- Fair and transparent moderation is part of our promise to our users, this guide goes into details and contexts you’ve probably never thought about. But the goal is to give you as much clarity as is humanly possible around how we moderate content.
- We’re an app that’s published on the AppStore, so we need to abide by Apple’s content policies.
- We have built tools to handle sensitive content with care.
- We pride ourselves on being more body-positive, sex-positive, and pleasure-positive than other platforms, but we will have limits with this stuff (detailed below).
Sunroom’s Moderation Mantras
- Context matters
- Women’s issues deserve airtime
- We don’t automate decisions which affect a creators earnings
- We’re not here to shame anyone, or impose moral judgement on anyone
- We are here to create a space where all sorts of creators and their members feel welcome
- The shape of someone’s body, their ability or the color of their skin does not affect our moderation decisions
