Sunroom is hiring a part time Design Intern to support Lucy Mort (our co-founder/CEO) in designing the Sunroom app and marketing collateral. You’ll work side-by-side with Lucy, assisting her with the workload associated with new feature design, iterating on existing designs, and marketing projects. Working on Sunroom’s product is extremely rewarding, as your effort tangibly impacts the earnings of thousands of creator (and all the wonderful freedom, independence, and lifestyle changes that come from those earnings!). The feeling of seeing someone grow their income in a way they didn’t realize was possible, on a product that you’ve helped design, never gets old!

For the Design Internship, we’re looking for someone who is has a great aesthetic sense, a developing product sense, and good efficiency. There will be a wide variety of projects you’ll work on, and different sorts of design thinking required — including UX, UI, visual design, and brand identity.

The Role

• Assist with the design of Sunroom’s interface (both the iOS app and the web app)
• Assist with the prototyping and testing of new product features
• Assist with the design and implementation of marketing emails
• Assist with the design of our various marketing channels (marketing site, blog, AppStore listing, social channels)
• Assist with other adhoc design projects

About You

• You’re located in Los Angeles (and down to come into our office in Culver City once a week)
• You’re interested in pop culture, social media, community building, and the creator economy
• You’re developing your design eye and product sense
• You can use popular design software (Figma, prototyping, Adobe)
